February 2026 – Monthly Update

Love is a four-legged word.

Happy Valentine's Month, FurEver Friends! Here's to puppy kisses and kitty cuddles on this sweet day. If you’re still looking for a unique way to show the special animal lover in your life you love them, we’ve got the purrfect opportunity for you – a tribute gift to RedRover to help care for animals!

Which is YOUR favorite?

We're joining Humane World for Animals, formerly the Humane Society of the United States, and over 2,800 animal welfare professionals for the largest conference in the industry: Animal Care Expo. To celebrate, we’re bringing some RedRover "Shed Happens" t-shirts – but we need your help choosing the winning design! The design that gets the most love will be handed out at our booth to folks who sign up for our newsletter. Which one would you wear as proudly as your beloved pet's hair? 🐾

Our 2027 calendar cover star is...!

Bentley with 761 out of 2,289 votes! When Bentley’s family needed it most, we helped them receive veterinary assistance with a RedRover Relief Urgent Care grant. Thank you to everyone who voted on next year's RedRover calendar cover. Make a gift of $25 or more today, and you'll receive YOUR 2027 calendar when it's printed in August!

You’re Invited!

Will you join us for RedRover’s Virtual Annual Meeting on Saturday, May 16, 2026? You can participate by phone or Zoom to hear President and CEO, Katie Campbell, share our successes from 2025, review the organization’s financials, and answer questions from dedicated supporters like you. We hope you won't miss this special opportunity to hear how your support makes the world a better place for animals and the people who love them.

“He’s Love. He’s Home.”

Dash’s Happy Tail

Dash, a dashing young Chihuahua, may have been little, but he was a big part of his family. He meant everything to Jay and her two children, and the best part of their days was their morning walks together. Jay noticed one morning that Dash was struggling to urinate, and when she noticed blood, she knew something was terribly wrong. The poor pup was diagnosed with a kidney stone, and it could only be removed with surgery.
