Did You Celebrate World Cat Domination Day?

Every June 24 is World Cat Domination Day, and while they don't need an official holiday to rule over us, a little recognition never hurts. As their loyal subjects, we hope our feline-loving FurEver Friends spent this day humbly catering to your cat's every whim. Each June, ditch the grapes (not a cat safe fruit) and feed them a Churu while you fan them, commission their royal portrait, or place their throne (aka cat tree) in the sun to remind them they are the chosen one. Whatever you do, just don't commit treason (paying the dog more attention).

Echo’s Happy Tail

Samantha felt it was her duty to take in Echo after her mother passed away, but she never could have anticipated how close they would become. At the time, she had neither the money, time, nor resources to have her spayed. After eleven-year-old Echo’s most recent heat cycle, Samantha noticed that Echo’s belly was hard and bloated. With her last few dollars, she took her to the emergency veterinarian, and she was diagnosed with pyometra, an infection in her uterus. Things weren’t looking optimistic, and Samantha was beginning to think there might be nothing she could do for poor Echo. She finally found the help she needed when she came across the RedRover Relief Urgent Care grant program online. Samantha didn’t know it yet, but she now had hundreds of (FurEver) friends she could count on to save Echo.

RedRover Responders: Double Duty for Pets in Need

While our team was preparing to head to West Monroe, Louisiana, for our first free wellness clinic of 2026 with our friends at PAWS of Northeast Louisiana, we received a request from American Humane to assist with a neglect case in Texas. Expecting over 100 dogs, they were in need of our RedRover Responders volunteers to assist with setting up a temporary emergency shelter, and provide daily animal care. With overlapping dates, it was bound to be a bit tight, but doable, thanks to both committed staff and volunteers!
