July 2025 โ€“ Monthly Update

 โ€œEvery Day is a Giftโ€

Yangโ€™s Happy Tail

Yang is Clarisaโ€™s little baby boy and a big, protective brother to his sister. She couldnโ€™t imagine her family any other way. But when Yang developed a large, painful bladder stone and the surgery was more than Clarisa could afford, she started to worry about saving her boy and saving their family. They needed help: they needed a FurEver Friend.

Vital Spay/Neuter Services Through Titoโ€™s Handmade Vodka Sponsorship

For the first time, weโ€™re proud to announce spay and neuter services are now being offered to RedRover Relief Urgent Care grantees as a special add-on, thanks to a generous $10,000 sponsorship from Titoโ€™s Handmade Vodka, the Vodka for Dog People. This sponsorship came to fruition because RedRover and Titoโ€™s share the same belief in supporting pets and preserving the human-animal bond.

Four Years of RedRover Responders Community Programs Work

Through our RedRover Responders Community Programs initiative, we successfully brought our wellness clinic events to New England for the first time, offering two days of free services at two separate locations in Vermont. We partnered with a new nonprofit for the first time, the Mobile Pet Food Shelf, a wonderful group of folks that brings pet food and pet supplies to families in need.

Fiercely Protecting the Human-Animal Bond for Children and Survivors

In May, the farm at Maine State Society for the Protection of Animals (MSSPA) was the backdrop of our latest RedRover Readers volunteer training. Kind Newsโ„ข magazine editor and workshop facilitator, Heidi Colonna, led the session with a group of 11 classroom teachers, librarians, school administrators, and animal shelter-based humane educators. On another collaborative front, the dedicated staff at MSSPA worked with our RedRover Relief program to receive a Safe Housing grant to support domestic violence survivors and their pets.
