We raise the woof for dogs all year round, but this month especially, we're celebrating pups on RedRover Responders deployments, dogs saved by a RedRover Relief Urgent Care grant, and your best friends at home!

A Huge Win for Survivors!

Thank you to the National Football League (NFL) for your compassionate support! When the NFL learned our programs aligned with their commitment to address domestic violence, sexual assault, and trafficking through their partnerships, they generously donated $20,000 to RedRover. This gift enables us to continue helping survivors and their pets find safety from abuse and stay together.

Bandit’s Happy Tail

Of the three dogs Jamie cared for, two he had taken in from his family, Bandit was and always had been all his. He had never known another person to love, and you could see it in their special bond. While Jamie completed law school and studied every day for the bar exam, he used his student loan to pay for his and the dogs’ necessities. They never went without, but he was only able to provide basic veterinary care. When Bandit’s gums started growing uncontrollably and he was losing teeth, Jamie couldn’t afford his dental treatment, even after borrowing money from his parents. But as a quick-thinking, problem-solving future lawyer, he knew he could find a way to help Bandit, like the RedRover Relief Urgent Care grant program and the FurEver Friends who make it possible.

July Clinic in Vermont Serves More Than 400 Pets

This July brought something exciting beyond just the sun: our second free wellness clinic with our friends at the Mobile Pet Food Shelf to support pets and their people in accessing veterinary care. Over two days, hundreds of families waited patiently in line for hours to receive free vaccines, including rabies, DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus) for dogs, and FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis (FHV-1), Calicivirus, and Panleukopenia) for cats, flea/tick prevention, and pet food, toys, and supplies.
